Our Training Services

Coletti Concrete Studio offers professional Concrete Countertop training at our studio and at Buddy Rhodes' distributor locations. Our programs include traditional wet cast form and pour, GFRC and Buddy Rhodes' products and signature methods. See below for program dates and locations.

April 9th and 10th.

2 day comprehensive training with Buddy Rhodes' methods and materials. This 2 day class provides an overview and beginning hands-on experience with the materials and methods involved with creating a concrete countertop, either pre-cast or cast-in-place. You will acquire an understanding of the steps involved in planning and creating a countertop slab and three dimensional piece, using the full array of methods used by commercial fabricators, including templating, mold-making, mixing and coloring, upside down and right side up forming techniques, reinforcement options, and glass fibers. Do your own de-molding, polishing, and sealing. Get gloves-on experience with mix consistency, color ratios, placing reinforcement, pressing technique, grinding, sealing and waxing. Review pour and vibrate methods and GFRC techniques, and go over trouble shooting, discussing many tips of the trade. Class will be held at:Coletti Concrete Studio. 9566 Gator Dr. #9. May 7th-8th

2 Day GFRC class using Buddy Rhodes’ materials.

At Coletti Concrete Studio, we specialize in GFRC as our main casting method and have so for over 2 years. In recent years, GFRC has become more and more popular as the demand for bigger, lighter and stronger works has grown. Buddy Rhodes, a pioneer in the Artisan concrete industry has recently introduced his GFRC mix and product line, and we are here to show you how to use them. You will learn how to create beautiful concrete countertops, vanities and other elements using GFRC concrete. Using Buddy Rhodes’ GFRC materials will make it easy for you to focus on the important aspect of why you want to do this…to create beautiful things out of concrete. With Buddy Rhodes’ GFRC mix you don’t have to focus on complicated mix designs, technical jargon and the hassle of buying multiple products from multiple manufacturers. Buddy has taken those obstacles out of the equation and put the experience of 25 years into his products so you don’t have to. After two days of intensive and fun classes, you will have gained the confidence and know-how to start making high quality GFRC products right away in your workshop. Payment for classes can be made by Visa, Mastercard or Discover either by phone or online. Cancellations must be made before 30 days of the class for which you are scheduled to receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. Cancellations made within 30 days but before 10 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made with 10 days prior to scheduled class will not receive a refund. Coletti Concrete Studio reserves the right to change, modify or cancel the class at any time.
